Old and new friends, from Holland and from Ghana

Our Community considers itself very lucky having the support of so many friends and supporters.

We were pleased to experience this once again at various moments during the past period.

Old friends

First of all we like to mention the good old friends of the G8 group from Groningen in the Netherlands. They have been coming to Ghana and PCC since 2007 (!) and this year was their 8th visit.

The G8 group has a varying composition, but it’s always under the same leadership, that is Mr. G8, Bernard Meier!

During every visit they come to help our Community with their workmanship, energy and enthusiasm, in particular with the construction of a planned expansion, but not only that …..

During the 2 years before coming to PCC they are very active and successful in fundraising activities and in that way they also pay for the full building costs of the new expansion!

This year G8 came in October with 7 persons to Ghana (1 man unfortunately had to stay home because of an illness) to help with the construction of a new Girls Dormitory!

Thanks to them the construction is now progressing fast and we hope we will be able to complete it during the coming months.

See the pictures and admire the work of G8 in and for PCC!

New friends

We will not fail to mention that a company from Ghana, The Enterprise Group, gave us a substantial donation. We came in touch with this company through the Databank Foundation.

The Enterprise Group donated to PCC / Outreach: 2 powerful new motorbikes for the Outreach work and also a new Okada / Prakkia / Tuk tuk (= various beautiful names for the same motorized tricycle vehicle).

Definitely a great and very valued donation!

We are very glad to get such a generous support from a donor in Ghana, for our activities in and around Nkoranza.

Everyone in PCC welcomed this donation with happiness and soon after these 3 means of transport were put into good service.

On the pictures you can admire the vehicles and our proud residents!

Old and new friends

In the past we received regular donations of the foundation Madamfo from Tuil in Holland.

For some years they were mainly involved in other projects, but lately and especially this year this foundation was able to support us strongly, e.g. with donations for the costs of the renovation and 1 year – running costs for the new Daycare in Forikrom.

They also supported us very well with a generous donation to benefit the daily care of 9 residents of PCC during 1 year.

A wonderful gesture.

In the slide show there are pictures of some of these children and the Daycare in Forikrom.

Friends for life

Apart from the above mentioned old and new friends we consider ourselves very lucky to have many “Friends for Life” who are always around us.

These friends are many individuals, some schools and churches as well as other organisations who are making us so happy again and again, with their sponsoring or donations. Some already for more than 10 or 15 years!

Great or small gifts, all benefactors are contributing to the best of their ability and we are always happy and grateful!

Many of these loyal friends come from Holland, but PCC has also loyal friends in Germany and England and of course some in Ghana.

We all  know that loyal friends can make a huge difference in life and therefore we are very grateful to all our friends and sponsors for their loyal support.

Thanks to all old, new and loyal friends, PCC is able to offer good care already for 32 years to a still growing number of abandoned or neglected children with disabilities.

It feels like a miracle. Thanks so much.

May God bless you.
