King Saul

King Saul was found wandering the large Kaneshie Market in Accra at the young age of about 2 – 3 years old.

No one knew who he was, no one reported that he or she had lost a child, and so he was soon transferred to Osu Children’s Home (OCH) via the police and Social Welfare.

King Saul has an intellectual disability, suffers from epilepsy, and is also hyperactive.

In the spring of 2025, when he was approximately 12 or 13 years of age, he was transferred from OCH to PCC.

At PCC, he initially displayed some inappropriate and uninhibited behavior.

It seems to be his way of getting attention.

It’s our job to slowly but surely correct his behavior, although that will take some time, as it appears he displayed this behavior at OCH for years.

Fortunately, Edmond often takes care of him, for example, while he’s out walking, and he corrects King Saul’s behavior without hesitation.

And King Saul understands Edmond’s approach very well!
