Jeremiah was abandoned by his family under a bridge near Aworowa in Techiman District in August 2024. At the time, he was estimated to be just over 1 year old.

After he was found under that bridge by villagers, the Queen Mother of Aworowa temporarily took him in!

Because it soon became clear that he suffers from CP (= Cerebral Palsy), resulting in an intellectual disability and also frequent epileptic seizures, he was transferred to Kumasi Childrens Home via Social Welfare.

Despite extensive physiotherapy and other treatments, his physical and mental development lags behind, and therefore the management of KCH requested us to admit him to PCC and continue his treatment here using the facilities that PCC fortunately has to offer to children with CP.

In July 2026, he was transferred to our Community.

It is difficult for Jeremiah to sit independently. His head balance was poor, but has improved

Jeremiah does not stand or walk.

He also can’t speak, but he makes good eye contact and likes to extend his arms to you, especially his right arm.

The right side of his body appears to be somewhat more developed than the left side.

At PCC, we have included him in the daily physiotherapy program and will try to help him progress step by step.

Due to his friendly character and calm behavior, he is warmly accepted by everyone.
